New to School... Again

Wish Military Kids a Great School Year

Share a Note of Encouragement

For civilian kids, the back-to-school season can be an exciting time filled with new and old — new teachers, new school supplies, familiar hallways, and old friends.

But for military kids, their “new to school” experience can be a scary time filled with all things new — a new neighborhood, new teachers, new classes, new hallways, and that feeling of being the “new kid”…again.

In fact, by the time military children reach 12th grade, they will have moved between 6-9 times.

When back to school becomes new to school, the Armed Services YMCA will be the old friend military kids can count on — and you can be, too!

Share a note of encouragement with military kids and wish them a happy new school year by signing our digital card today. We’ll share these notes over the next several weeks with kids who benefit from our programs.

Thanks for being there for military kids as they start anew.
